Extreme Measures

Huh! Geram betul sebab asyik tak nak cambah aje benih benih ni. So finally I am resorting to this extreme measure introduced by Mr Tanamsendiri @ cecair semaian

So, last night ini lah kerja I for these benih. Let's see whether successful or not. If not tak tahu lah nak buat apa lagi dah..

Deep Fried Basil

I tell you...just happen to stumble into this treat when wanted to fry chicken drummets for my son. Purposely putting the whole bunch of shoot inside the pan for additional flavour n scent...then took it n just felt like taking a bite and Walla!!! Whoaa super nice n crunchy. Mungkin dah ada yg buat ni before but I didn't know n honestly tak tahu gak nak buat apa ngan basil yg dah merimbun. Now I got this to enjoy! Hehee...

So, today buat nasi lemak and ambik more of the basil shoots n deep fry aje without any seasoning. Makan ngan nasi. Sedap I tell u... For those yg tak suka sayur or anak yg fussy eater when it comes to veges.. I think u can try this n put inside rice. My 3 year old son ngup ngap laju aje.

Pea and Chiogga

That day I planted these chiogga beets along with the pea ambassador. Somehow, the pea died for no reason. 're-germinated another pea and so far looking alright in the same container as the chioggas. Hopefully grow well cos I really really love peas! ❤❤

If this pea grows well n produce nice fat peas then I might consider planting some more.. So far the buncis is growing n producing well. Dah second round harvest that day. Yummy!

Grow babies grow

Sebab malas nak membaja la namanya...I beli these ketul ketul baja from MAHA and tanam 3 biji dalam container. It's supposed to be slow releasing fertilizer and no need to put any more fertilizer for 2-3 months. But think will still pour air beras/ikan dalam tu once a while.

Baja ketul tak tahu apa nama. Lupa nak tanya. 3 packets dapat 5rm :)

Wheatgrass

Masa kat MAHA sempat gak beli benih wheatgrass. Hajat hati nak try tanam and buat juice for my son. Wheatgrass kan elok for body and contains lots of vitamins...So nanti nak berexperiment soon.

Ni wheatgrass yg diorang tanam guna peatmoss. Subur aje. The girl ajar size tu dah boleh potong n blend buat juice. Tak payah masak or anything..just perah aje.

Ni buah tomato cherry first yg keluar. Sebijik aje...yg lain tak tahu boleh menjadi ke tidak.

MAHA November 2014

Just enjoy some of the pictures taken during the visit to the exhibition yesterday. I didn't get to go to all sections. I went to Laman Sayur and Herba and spent like few hours there only. To those who have not gone...if you have chance do visit it. It's worth the trip!

Giler tengok I tell you... Tu semua gambar with my "sayur models". Even the place to buy all the pokok and plants pun tak sempat nak tengok lama. Will go again this Saturday with my sis to jadi giler some more. :)

Caught Red Handed!

This is the snail which was caught in action killing my cabbage seedlings. Eiii geram. Patutlah yg satu dah tetiba layu aje..tiba tiba nampak dia dekat satu lagi seedling tengah keliling batang kobis. Thing is I don't understand how it kills the plant. It didn't eat the leaves...just ada kesan macam scarring aje kat batang kobis. Maybe gigi kecik kecik lagi kot.

Nampak tak yg colour brownish kecik kat batang? Boleh tau I nampak dia sebab dia cuba lari keliling batang tu. Chis!!

Yeay!! Parsley akhirnya...

Berjaya gak cambah. Tapi banyak ni aje yg so far nampak keluar. Hopefully, adalah dua tiga lagi yg akan cambah.
I baca suruh letak benih dekat tempat gelap. So what I did is to put the seeds inside ice cream container n put cover with a little air going in. After few days the seeds germinated. Tapi kurus melampai la sebab no sunlight. Only now baru nak letak bagi sunlight pagi sikit.

Kenapa Dengan Pokok Tomato

Rupa jadi macam Ni? Does anyone know? Dulu daun gemuk elok aje colour hijau fresh. Nowadays dah macam kering tapi tak layu. Tolong!!! Dahlah tak Sabar nak rasa tomato tanam sendiri tetiba jadi camni masa bunga dah start keluar...

Petik Fresh For Breakfast

Pagi ni just petik sayur enough untuk my breakfast aje. First tuaian buncis. Banyak tu aje. Kangkung ada banyak tapi tak nak ambik banyak sebab nak makan sorang aje.

Memang betul...when u eat what you sow on your own...it's really sweeeeet!

Kantan dan Black Pepper

Jalan Jalan nursery with my sis langsung terbeli dua pokok ni.. satu kantan and another one is pepper plant.

Nak semai kantan tak tahu camane so beli ajelah pokok yg dah besar sikit la. Hopefully nanti berbunga la dia. Bunga kantan pun dah mahal. My sis tamak beli sampai 2 rumpun.

Yg ni Pokok pepper. Dah berbuah dah tengok. Yg ni memang saje gatal beli rasanya sebab tak tahulah nak tanam kat mana lagi.. tanah dahlah kangkang kera pun lagi besar.

Sunflower, Pisang Hobbit n Kedondong

Heheee....all seem to be growing well. Alhamdullilah..sunflower pun menggemuk dengan jayanya. Daun seriously macam gajah. Tak sabar nak tengok bunga dia besar mana nanti.

Pisang hobbit pun yg hari tu tanam pun dah naik sikit daun dia. Harap Harap soon berbuah la. Yg sebelah tu pisang berangan tisu culture. Pun nampak membesar dengan jayanya.

Kedondong looking good...Tak sabar nak makan buah. To those that seem to be having problem where the leaves starting to curl n turn stripey..do turn n check the underneath of the leaves. You will see some blackish insect like fleas. Do get rid of those fleas cos once they start to build "houses"...then your leaves will be the first to show.

Hari Ni Takde Cerita

pasal pokok sebab semuanya sedang membesar n nothing new to share.. benih yg semai pun ada jadi ada tak jadi. Yg tak tahu dah hancur ke tak dalam tanah pun ada kot...sebabnya? Tak muncul muncul tunas or anything.

Mood nak berkebun pun ada kurang sikit sebab dok hujan plak 2-3 hari ni lepas panas terik. Hidung pun dah rasa tersumbat..rasa nak tidur aje.

Harap harap banana capsicum yg beli benih dari Ms kebunbahagia boleh la berbuah sebegini.

Kenapa Susah Nak Tanam

Ketumbar, parsley, Chinese celery dan seangkatan dengannya??? Dah macam macam cara semaian n medium I guna. Tanah lah, pasirlah, tanah campur pasir...tempat teduh, tempat panas, bawah tangga, tempat takde cahaya langsung..etc etc. Tapi all failed!!!

Tolong!!! Kot ada technique mudah yg I boleh guna pakai. For info, blogger aku in Fiji punya cara pun I dah follow... :( :(

Hasil Today n Some Other Stuff

Today quite a variety I managed to harvest from the tiny garden.

Roselle, small chili, big chilli, salad and sawi..

Other things happening in the garden...just have a peek at the pictures. I am sure some of them u can tell what they are.
